How long does a virtual tour take to capture?
Depending on the size of the property typically from 2 to 4 hours, things that take the time are lighting depending on windows, natural light and room lighting.
Presentation, making sure the property is looking its best as viewers can see every detail.
If you do not want certain items to be visible, this could include high value items, alarm points, CCTV cameras or key code points, these can be edited out as requested, which takes more time.
Who can view the virtual tour?
Once the customer approves the tour it is now ready to be sent; to any people of interest all over the world via email or be viewed on a website.
Can Matterport spaces be viewed on virtual reality systems?
Yes, Matterport VR is currently available for free on a variety of virtual reality systems, including:-
- Samsung Gear VR
 - Google Cardboard
 - Google Daydream (through WebVR)
 
Can a virtual tour be captured outside?
Yes and they look pretty awesome, you can flow from outside to inside just by clicking through the tour.
Can floor plans be generated from the virtual tour?
Absolutely, 3D or 2D floor plans can be generated from the Virtual Tour.
If shooting a virtual tour for a high street business can it be published to Google Street View?
Once the virtual tour has been completed it can be published to Google Street View so you can walk from the high street straight into your business.
What if I didn't want to tour a certain room or area?
No problem, the room in question can be un-toured and the door can be kept closed. The room can be identified if requested by an information tag e.g PRIVATE, office, cellar or garages.
Can the drone be used to survey hard to get areas?
Yes, the drone can be used to get a visual on any inaccessible area e.g solar panels to check for damage, chimneys for any repair work or roof damage or even roof top gardens.
